Elizabeth (Betty) Murphy, 62, died Thursday, May 24, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, following an illness of several weeks.
A time of remembrance and sharing of Betty's life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2018, at 989 County Home Rd., Springville. All family and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, a memorial
fund has been established. Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, has been entrusted with Betty's care.
She is leaving behind the love of her life, Pat; a daughter, Crystal Warren; four grandchildren, Brandi, Autumn, Ashley and Savanah; three stepchildren, Duane, Nicole and Zach; several stepgrandchildren; her mother, Deloris Murphy; sisters, Mary, Audrey, Debbie, Hope and Jenny; her brother, Patrick; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Bubba; her father, John Murphy; and two sisters, Bridgett and Pam.
Betty was a longtime resident of Springville. She was born on July 16, 1955, at the Anamosa Hospital. She was the daughter of John and Deloris Sugden Murphy.
