Murphy, Raymond 'Papa' Sr.
Raymond “Papa” Murphy Sr., 63, of Vinton, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2012, Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 East Sixth St., Vinton. Committal services: 3 p.m. Friday, Koszta Cemetery, south of Belle Plaine. Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Survivors include his wife, Candy; sons, Jimmy Murphy, Christian Murphy, and Raymond Lee Murphy Jr.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sisters, LaDonna (Lyle) Marter and Elizabeth (Larry).
