Rosie Neve, 78, died peacefully Monday, June 20, 2016, at Windsor Manor in Vinton following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 23, at the Vinton Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jessica Crane-Munoz officiating. Visitation will also be at the church from
4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and for one hour before services Thursday. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
Rose Marie was born Sept. 27, 1937, in Vinton, to A. Kenneth and D. Irene Young Warner. She grew up in Vinton and graduated from Vinton High School. On Jan. 26, 1955, she married Wayne Neve at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Rosie was a nanny to many children over the years. She also did house cleaning for several people. She was a longtime member of the Presbyterian church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, jewelry and word search puzzles, but her greatest joys were her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wayne; sons, Doug (Becky) Neve, Chatfield, Minn., and Ken (Deseire) Neve, Englewood, Colo.; daughter, Cindy (Doug) Haefner, Grundy Center; brother, Charles Warner, California; daughter-in-law, Beth Griffin, Carrollton, Texas; six grandchildren, Brian (Michelle) Neve, Dallas, Texas; Kristen (Christian) Klein, Minneapolis, Minn.; Drew (Heather) Haefner, Davenport; Travis and Dylan Neve, Englewood, Colo.; and Casey Neve, Carrollton, Texas; and great-grandson, Miles Neve, Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Denny.
A memorial fund has been established.
