Kathleen Anne Lynch, 65, of Iowa City, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at Mercy Hospice.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, at Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service, with the Rev. Mark Pries officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kathy Lynch Memorial Fund.
Kathy was born Oct. 21, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Calvin and Dora (Foster) Waite. She was a graduate of Prairie High School. Kathy married Dennis LaDage on Dec. 21, 1969. Dennis died in Vietnam. On Aug. 12, 1978, Kathy married Carl "Tim" Lynch in Nashua. Tim died July 30, 2004.
Kathy was an assistant librarian for ACT. She loved gardening, feeding hummingbirds, square dancing, camping, drinking coffee and watching ducks at Iowa wetlands with her late husband, Tim.
Kathy is survived by her three sons, Jon (Tracy) LaDage of Solon, Brad Lynch of Cedar Rapids and Bryan Lynch of Moline, Ill.; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jenna and Claire LaDage and Violet and Wyatt Lynch; four brothers, Danny (Connie) Waite, Jim (Linda) Waite and David (Elizabeth) Waite, all of Cedar Rapids, and Scott (Pam) Waite of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Dennis and Tim; and her brother, Bob Waite.
