Duane Palmer Jr.
DUANE PALMER JR. Mount Vernon Duane Arthur Palmer Jr. of Mount Vernon was born at St. Luke's Hospital on June 6, 1957, and passed away at the same hospital on Sept. 25, 2015. Duane was a beloved husband, son, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Alice Palmer; his father, Duane A. Palmer Sr.; four children, Mariah Franzen, Elizabeth, Andrew and Shiloh Palmer; as well as his granddaughter, Danielle Franzen. He is also survived by a brother, Donald (Gayle); three sisters, Elaine Palmer, Sandra (Mike) Todd and Diane (Tim) Weaver; and many nieces and nephews. A service for Duane will be held on Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Alliance Church, 1622 42nd St. NE, Cedar Rapids, beginning at 11 a.m. A lunch will follow at the church.
