Ladeburg, Helen E.
Helen E. Ladeburg, 95, a resident of the Oelwein Health Care Center, died there Friday, March 19, 2010. Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, at Zion Lutheran Church, Oelwein. Burial: Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, rural Hazleton. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein and one hour before services on Tuesday.
Survivors include her children, Arthur (Carol) Ladeburg and Janet (Duane) Polk, both of Oelwein; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Ella Zander; and a brother and sister-in-law, Karl and Dorothy Ladeburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert (Nov. 7, 1984); her brothers, Delbert (Delores) Woodward and Dale Woodward at age eight; her parents; and her grandson-in-law, Kevin Taylor.
Born Sept. 30, 1914, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Jay and Edith (Eckerman) Woodward, she married Herbert Ladeburg on Sept. 3, 1933, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She was a homemaker.
