Ronald Holub, 77, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015, at his home following an extended illness. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 27, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Prairieburg. Interment: St. Joseph Cemetery, with military honors. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the church. Visitation will start with the parish vigil service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Surviving are four children, Lisa (Dave) Bauer, Dubuque, Lori (Brad) McGowan, Vinton, and Lance (Carmen) Holub and Loras (Tina) Holub, both of Anamosa; 14 grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Ann Gilmore, Anamosa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda; four siblings and spouses, Lillian (Merle) Hart, Grace (Ray) Larson, Leroy (Verna) Holub and Melvin (Arlene) Holub; and a brother-in-law, Dale Gilmore.
Ronald Gail Holub was born May 16, 1938, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of John M and Rosie Fousek Holub. He graduated from Springville High School in 1956. Ron served in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1958. He worked at Iowa Manufactur-ing for a brief time after he got out of service. He was employed at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids for 12 years.
Ronald Holub and Barbara Bertling were married May 8, 1965, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Anamosa. The couple later divorced. In 1974, Ron purchased Morley Feed and Grain and operated it until 1981. He worked as a truck driver for several years before going to work at United Technology in Iowa City, retiring from there in 2003.
Ron was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Anamosa, Knights of Columbus and Springville American Legion Post 0331.
