Pleis, Lorraine L.
Lorraine L. Pleis, 88, of Oelwein, died Wednesday evening, April 18, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo from complications of pneumonia. Funeral services: 1 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at Peace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Michael Holmen officiating. Visitation: 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Steve (Diane) Pleis of Cedar Falls; daughter, Donna (Steve) Saathoff of Hazleton; daughter-in-law, Jane Lillibridge of Jesup; 11grandchildren, Mitch Lillibridge, Tim Lillibridge,
Jeff (Robin) Lillibridge, Shelly (Steve) McLaury, Todd (Rachel) Lillibridge, Mandi (Clint) Nelsen, Marcy (Jake) Pease, Mattie (Chris) Brawner, Michael (Kelly) Saathoff, Stefanie Pleis and Stacie (Jake) Salowitz; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-granddaughters;
sister, Betty South of Oelwein; and many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred on Aug. 12, 1990, son, Ben Lillibridge; three brothers, Lawrence, Harold and Jim Lillibridge; and a sister, Opal Rackow.
A memorial fund has been established.
