Nancy Lee (DeForest) Marth, 75, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. A service will be at
11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10,
at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will
be held at a later date at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Nancy Lee Siemer was born Dec. 1, 1942, the daughter of Otto and Lena (Wittig) Siemer. She was a graduate of Linn-Mar High School. Nancy was united in marrige to Theodore DeForest on July 2, 1966, in Los Angeles, Calif. He passed away on Aug. 11, 1983. She then married Richard Marth on Dec. 1, 1995. He passed away on Oct. 16, 2010.
Nancy worked in the banking industry for many years and most recently retired from Farmers State Bank.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, and sister, LaVera Yokum.
Left to cherish Nancy's memories are her daughter, Jill (David) DeForest Colvig of Des Moines; granddaughters, Lily DeForest Colvig and Clara DeForest Colvig; eight stepchildren, Bob DeForest of Cedar Rapids, Julie DeForest-Barber of Central City, Teddie Crabb of Monticello, Luann Hiratzka of Coralville, Christopher Marth of Westerville, Ohio, Andrew Marth of Florida, Julia Reinhartz of Colorado and Matthew Marth of Vienna, Austria; sister-in-law, Janet Rawley of Iowa City; two sisters, Esther Damron of San Diego, Calif., and Rosalie Jeffress of Coralville; and her cat, Elsa.
Memorials may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society in Nancy's name.
