Media gives labels to some, but not to all

I cannot imagine the pain and agony of Mollie Tibbetts' family. However, I find it unnecessary for The Gazette and others to identify the murderer, in the secondary headline, as an 'illegal immigrant.”
Looking back at Gazette articles covering the equally horrible murder of a young pregnant mother and her two daughters, the husband strongly suspected of the crimes was not identified as 'a white American citizen.”
