Nieland, Colette (Harbaugh)

Coletta (Harbaugh) Nieland, 82, of Guttenberg, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at the Guttenberg Care Center. She was born Oct. 18, 1930, in Colesburg, Iowa, to Lloyd and Genevieve (Kauffman) Harbaugh.

Coletta is survived by her five children, Mona (Tony) Adams, Jeff (Cathy) Nieland, Jennifer Lake, Robert Nieland and Roberta Nieland; 10 grandchildren, Misty, Vicky, Chris, Jessie, Stephanie, Christopher, Zachary, Jeremy, Nichole and Oceana; five great-grandchildren, A.J., Phil, Colten, Caden and Brody and two on the way; siblings, Gary (Janice) Harbaugh and Richard Harbaugh; sister-in-law, Arlene Harbaugh; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Delbert and Eugene Nieland; and siblings, Eleanor Lewin, Shirley Berns, Jackie Scherf, George Harbaugh Sr., Lloyd Harbaugh Jr. and Carrol Harbaugh.

Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 207 S. First, Guttenberg, where the family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, and one hour before service Saturday at church. Funeral service will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Guttenberg, at 10 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Guttenberg.

In lieu of flowers and all styles of sympathy, Coletta asks that memorials be sent to either St. Mary's Catholic Church or the St. Mary's Catholic School.
