Andrew L. Morris, 47, of Dubuque, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, in his home. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with Father Phil
Thompson presiding. Burial will follow in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW.
Andrew was born Dec. 2, 1968, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Lewis E. "Ed" and Shirley (Lutkenhaus) Morris. After high school, Andrew served in the U.S. Navy for six years in the Persian Gulf and with the Atlantic and Pacific fleets. He was a graduate of Kirkwood Community College and Mount Mercy College. Andrew worked in information technology, most recently at IBM in Dubuque.
Andrew is survived by his parents of Cedar Rapids; his sister, Lynann (Martin L. "Larry") Panchula of East Lake, Ohio; his nephew, Justin Panchula; niece, Erin, and goddaughter, Megan Panchula; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Andrew was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Thelma Morris and Greg and Marie Lutkenhaus.
