Zwanziger, Nancy L.
Nancy L. Zwanziger, 69, of Marion, died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease). Memorial service at 11 a.m. Monday at the Antioch Christian Church. The Rev. John Seitz will officiate. Inurnment at Oak Shade Cemetery. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie (Don) Cimaglia and Karen Mathews and her fiancé, Chad Dolley, and her mother, Helen (Lucille) Sears, all of Marion; and a brother, Richard (Rosemary) Sears of Columbia, S.C.
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Ashley (Dane) Denker, Chelsea and Kylie Cimaglia and Kortney, Kayla and Kody Mathews; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Nancy was born on Dec. 12, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Richard and Helen (Lucille) Nost Sears. She married Phil Zwanziger in August 1959, in Waterloo. They were later divorced. Nancy was an accounting clerk for Prizm Group for several years. She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church and Eastern Star. She enjoyed scrapbooking, reading and especially time spent with her friends and beloved family.
