CRAIG RAYMOND BEAN
Hiawatha
Craig Raymond Bean, 69, of Hiawatha, died Monday, Dec. 7, 2015, at Pearl Valley Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Washington, Iowa. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 14, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Craig was born Sept. 28, 1946, the son of Herman and Lucille (Mullineaux) Bean in Cedar Rapids.
It's not only about what a man does with his life, but also who he helped bring into this life. This man's legacy is in his three boys. He usually had a lot to say even when you didn't really want to listen. He wasn't so keen on being politically correct. He was stubborn like a mule, but smart as a whip. He was a good ol' country boy at heart, who lived a wanderer's way.
Your memory, your funny stories and your Craig-isms will live on through your boys and grandchildren. Grandpa Puppy, you are now free from pain, your memory is restored, you can walk on your own and you can even get back to what you once loved, riding horses. You are with your Lord and Savior now. Say hello to DaVon and give him a big hug. May you rest in peace, Craig Bean Sr. We love you.
Survivors include his three sons, Craig (Marsha) Bean Jr. of Chelsea, Jesse (Deanna) Bean of Cedar Rapids and Joseph (Lindsey) Bean of Cedar Rapids; and seven grandchildren, Hannah, Emilee, Grace, Jamison, Joe Bean Jr., Jaxson and Jacoby.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, DaVon; two brothers, Gary and Ron; and stepfather, Warren Smith.
Memorials may be directed to the family in Craig's memory.
