Wright, Christine M.

Christine M. Wright, 92, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, July 18, 2011, at the West Ridge Care Center following a sudden illness. Funeral Mass: 10 a.m. Thursday, July 21, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The Rev. Christopher Podhajsky will officiate. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.

Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Christine Wells of Silver Spring, Md., and Anna Marie McNulty of Henderson, Nev.; four grandchildren, Ben and Justin McNulty, Kelly (Jeffery) Zeig and Kathleen (Brian) Michie; and her twin sister, Mardene Schultz of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Charles Wright.

Christine was born on Dec. 27, 1918, in Davis City, Iowa, the daughter of Phillip and Alice Thompson Ebrecht. She married Charles Wright on July 24, 1946. Christine was a food supervisor for 25 years at Mercy Medical Center. She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening. Christine was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
