Jack Keating
JACK PERRY KEATING
Coralville
Jack Perry Keating, son of Scott and Melissa Keating, unexpectedly passed on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, just days before his second birthday.
Visitation for Jack and greeting time with the family will be held Friday from
4 to 8 p.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill, 210 Holiday Rd. in Coralville. Services will begin Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Lensing's Oak Hill. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery in Coralville. The family kindly requests that instead of flowers and plants, memorials be directed to the Emma Keating Education Fund, https://www.paypal.com/pools/c/825bcFHCRp, to be established at Hills Bank & Trust Co., Coralville, Iowa.
Jack was born Feb. 29, 2016, at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City. He was a daredevil, full of limitless energy. Jack knew no fear and was the proud recipient of stitches not once, but twice, before the age of 2. He loved his sister Emma and copied everything that she did.
Jack had an innate sense of keeping everyone's "stuff" in order and in its place. Jack had one speed - fast. He always had a smile on his face and loved to dance.
Jack is survived by his parents, Scott and Melissa Keating; his big sister, Emma; grandparents, Dean and Teresa Phinney of Coralville and Perry and Kathy Keating of Alburnett; great-grandparents, Marvin and Marilyn Dolloff of Kensett, Iowa, and Gene Hagy of Maquoketa; aunt and uncles, Sara and Matt Brace of Cedar Rapids and Anthony Phinney of Coralville; cousin, Mason Brace; and many great-aunts and -uncles.
