Area softball players to watch for the 2015 season:

* CHEYANN ADAMSON, jr., Highland - Batted .540 with 50 runs and 40 RBIs. Hit 3 home runs and stole 32 of 34 bases. Class 2A first-team all-state.

* COURTNEY COOPER, soph., Lansing Kee - 12-5, 2.29 ERA with 144 strikeouts and 30 walks in 97 2/3 innings pitched. Batted .417 with 31 runs and 39 RBIs. Hit 12 doubles and 6 home runs. Class 1A first-team all-state.

* KENDRA COOPER, fr., Lansing Kee - 22-5, 1.52 ERA with 172 strikeouts and 26 walks in 160 2/3 innings pitched. Batted .462 with 38 runs and 47 RBIs. Hit 12 doubles and 7 home runs. Class 1A first-team all-state.

* MORGAN CRAIG, sr., Highland - Batted .495 with 40 runs and 38 RBIs. Hit 9 doubles and stole 22 of 22 bases. Class 2A first-team all-state.

* SAMANTHA CROGHAN, sr., Center Point-Urbana - 17-9, 1.70 ERA with 137 strikeouts and 19 walks in 177 innings pitched. Batted .294. Class 3A first-team all-state.

* ERIN DRAHOZAL, sr., Cedar Rapids Xavier - 19-4, 1.97 ERA with 86 strikeouts and 39 walks in 146 innings pitched. Batted .492 with 28 runs and 53 RBIs. Hit 18 doubles and 11 home runs. Class 4A first-team all-state.

* AMBER FISER, jr., Benton Community - 24-3, 0.47 ERA with 303 strikeouts and 30 walks in 164 1/3 innings pitched. Batted .277 with 26 runs. Class 3A first-team all-state.

* BRYN HANRAHAN, soph., Iowa City High - Batted .492 with 25 runs and 37 RBIs. Hit 8 doubles and 8 triples. Class 5A first-team all-state.

* MADDIE HANSEN, sr., Cedar Rapids Jefferson - Batted .441 with 46 RBIs. Hit 14 doubles and 7 home runs. Drew 23 walks. Class 5A first-team all-state.

* TAYLOR HUBER, jr., Alburnett - Batted .441 with 43 runs and 24 RBIs. Hit 17 doubles and stole 35 of 36 bases. Class 2A first-team all-state.

* EMILY IRA, sr., Solon - 23-2, 0.74 ERA with 276 strikeouts and 21 walks in 161 innings pitched. Batted .377 with 40 RBIs. Hit 10 doubles and 4 home runs. Class 4A first-team all-state.

* AMBER KRAL, jr., Mid-Prairie - Batted .583 with 46 runs and 59 RBIs. Hit 13 doubles, 3 triples and 11 home runs. Drew 21 walks. Class 3A first-team all-state.

* TAYLOR NEARAD, sr., Solon - Batted .558 with 62 runs and 60 RBIs. Hit 28 doubles, 5 triples and 5 home runs. Class 4A first-team all-state.

* ALYSSA OLSON, sr., Cedar Rapids Jefferson - 18-6, 0.74 ERA with 188 strikeouts and 34 walks in 160 innings pitched. Class 5A second-team all-state.

* ADARA OPIOLA, jr., Iowa City West - Batted .509 with 45 runs and 50 RBIs. Hit 12 doubles, 3 triples and 8 home runs. Drew 32 walks. Class 5A first-team all-state.

* KATIE JO SPRINGER, sr., Highland - 28-3, 1.76 ERA with 199 strikeouts and 22 walks in 183 innings pitched. Class 2A first-team all-state.

* MADDISON VOLESKY, jr., Alburnett - Batted .442 with 44 runs and 23 RBIs. Stole 23 of 26 bases. Class 2A first-team all-state.

* ALYSSA WIEBEL, jr., Benton Community - 10-2, 2.38 ERA with 65 strikeouts and 20 walks in 85 1/3 innings pitched. Batted .528 with 52 runs and 54 RBI. Hit 17 doubles, 4 triples and 14 home runs. Stole 20 of 20 bases. Class 3A first-team all-state.
