Daniel A. Eggers, 51, of
Cedar Rapids, passed away
unexpectedly due to health-
related issues on Jan. 20, 2018, in his home. Dan was born May 2, 1966, at Mercy
Hospital and was employed over the years at several
places, including CRANDIC and Century Cab in Cedar Rapids.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Doris Eggers, and is the youngest of four children. He is survived by his children, Johnny Stern, Shyann Eggers and Ashley Eggers; two brothers, Phil and Doug Eggers, all of Cedar Rapids; sister, Paula Guirrusio of Ft. Worth, Texas; and nieces and nephew, Samantha, Emily and Nicholas.
A celebration of life gathering will be held at his favorite park, Palisades-Kepler State Park, 700 Kepler Drive, Mount Vernon, Iowa, at Shelter No. 2 overlooking the river from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on June 16, 2018.
