Kellogg, Marjorie H.
Marjorie H. Kellogg, 94, formerly of Palo, died Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Living Center East, Cedar Rapids, after a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at Teahen Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Clinton Jeffers. Burial: Spring Grove, Covington. Friends may visit Teahen Funeral Home from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday and again after 9:30 a.m. Saturday.
Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Sheri Thompson of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Jason (Penny) Thompson, Natasha Thompson and Felisha Clark, all of Cedar Rapids; four great-grandchildren; niece, Beverly (George) Pospisil of Mechanicsville; two stepsons and four stepgreat-grandchildren.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; and brother, Bud Hatzky.
Marjorie Helen Kellogg was born Jan. 26, 1917, in Nashua, daughter of Herman and Martha (Jermier) Hatzky. She married Kenneth Thomas Kellogg on Nov. 4, 1955, in Kahoka, Mo. Marjorie worked for Nissan Corporation (Universal) as a seamstress, making trampolines, for 20 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Covington Church.
Marjorie was an avid bowler. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She loved life and enjoyed herself. Marjorie was the type who would give anything to anybody to help them.
Her giving spirit will be missed.
