Marjorie A Foubert, 103, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, July 16, 2017, at Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral service: 1 p.m. Friday, July 21, at Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at Cedar Memorial Chapel Stateroom. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Marjorie was born May 25, 1914, the daughter of Fredrick and Pearl (Bottoms) Montgomery, in Sedalia, Mo. She was married to John W. Foubert on May 25, 1932, in Cedar Rapids. Marjorie worked in the office for Highway Equipment for over 35 years. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association and Asbury United Methodist Church. Marjorie greatly enjoyed embroidery and playing cards.
Survivors include her two children, Loretta Shearer and Russell (Marcia) Foubert; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Lorna Hazewinkel; and two sisters.
The family would like to thank Care Initiatives Hospice and the staff of Heritage Nursing & Rehab Center for their loving care of Marjorie.
