JOHN (TOM) THOMAS KLEIN
North English
John (Tom) Thomas Klein of Marion, formerly of North English, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2018, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City at the age of 67 years.
Tom was born Feb. 28, 1950, in Iowa City, the son of John and Helen (Shea) Klein. He graduated from Keota High School in 1968. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972 as an air traffic control instructor. Tom was united in marriage to Kristi Wilkerson on Feb. 24, 2012, in Victor. He enjoyed visiting with people, listening to music, watching the Iowa Hawkeyes and spending time with his family and their cats.
He is survived by his wife, Kristi; and a stepdaughter, Jessica (Justin) Garrett, all of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life gathering will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 3, at Powell Funeral Home in North English with a sharing time with military rites at noon.
