Accusations aren’t the same as guilt

The recent U.S. Supreme Court debacle is an embarrassment beyond words.
We have senators who feel a person is guilty just because there is an accusation. These are lawyers ignoring the rule of law. I wonder: If one of their adult children was accused of a serious crime, would they say he is guilty without benefit of proof? I think not.
Hopefully the voters of Iowa recognize which political party wants laws to mean something and that mob activity hurts us all.
