Evelyn F. Kisner, 81, of Hiawatha, Iowa, died April 19, 2018, at Promise House Assisted Living.
Evelyn was born Nov. 26, 1936, in Oran, Iowa, to Harry and Pauline (Pearl) Cosselman.
Evelyn graduated from Oran High School. She enjoyed polka and country music and she loved country dancing with Dale. She enjoyed watching the Cubs and participating in Iowa Hawkeye events. She was a member of the Granny Basketball League and actively supported the Reds/Kernels baseball teams. Evelyn was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish and VFW Post 788. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be greatly missed by all the hearts she touched.
Evelyn is survived by two daughters, Laurie Burnside and Connie (Wendell) Stepanek; granddaughter, Kimberly Burnside; two brothers, Lee Cosselman and LaVerne Butch (Lynn) Cosselman; and two sisters, Florence (Frank) Baldwin and Eleanor Wingert.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Dale; brother-in-law, Pete Wingert; brothers, Lewis (Rose) Cosselman and Lawrence Cosselman; and sister-in-law, Nancy Cosselman.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 23, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1350 Lyndhurst Dr., Hiawatha, followed by a Memorial Mass at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment will be private.
