This is a fitting capstone to a career that has been dedicated to securing more power for the already powerful and working his way up in the Trumpocracy. No harsh words about the mindless flailings of King Donald. No attempt to preserve democracy by refusing to pack the courts with unqualified judges. Deny healthcare and deny bankruptcy protection for student borrowers while siphoning off the country's resources and presenting them to the already wealthy. He is not bothered at all by his party's magical thinking on the pandemic and outright antagonism to the cause of racial justice.

It would be good for him to remember that the US is a consumer based economy. If the peasants have nothing, the economy is dead.
