Gearhart, Diane Marie (Rans)
Diane Marie (Rans) Gearhart, 54, died Sunday, July 12, 2009, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, by the Rev. John Flaherty. Burial: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, with a Scripture service at 3:30 p.m., and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Gearhart of Manchester; one daughter, Amanda Gearhart and friend Joe Dudley of Quasqueton; two sons, Robert Gearhart and friend Kim Lee of Manchester and Jacob Gearhart of Manchester; three grandchildren, Kasey Downs of Manchester, Izac Gearhart of Sumner and Sawyer Gearhart of Dundee; her mother, Darlien Rans of Manchester; 10 siblings, Judy (James) Errthum of Manchester, Virgil (Karen) Rans of Dubuque, Doug (Mona) Rans of Manchester, Elaine (Ed) Crane of Central City, Donna (Jan) Meyer of Monticello, Mary Kay Rans and friend John Shouse and Jane (Dan) Ramthun, both of Nevada, Iowa, Janet Knight of Parker, Colo., Sheila Brown and friend Brian Roling of Manchester, and Angie (Todd) Summers of Masonville; her mother-in-law, Lorraine Gearhart of Manchester; one brother-in-law, Dennis (Shirley) Gearhart of Winnebago, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Dianne Baumgartner and friend Ken Rayburn of Manchester and Bonnie King of Ankeny; and many nieces and nephews.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, George Rans; her father-in-law, Duane Gearhart; and an uncle, Bill Sheston.
