Barber IV, John Marion
John Marion Barber IV, 50, of Marion, died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, in his home. As per John's wishes, private family services will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family.
John was born March 28, 1961, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of John Marion III and Eleanor (Smith) Barber. John enjoyed cooking, hunting, and riding his Harley, as well as spending time with his family.
John is survived by his children, Ariel Barber of Cedar Rapids and Dave Smith Jr. of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, DiMajio Johnson, Charles Wise Jr., Gacari Johnson, Taylar Smith and Madison Smith; his two sisters, Linda Blue and Cathy Schuerman; his father, John Marion III of Milwaukee, Wis.; as well as his nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor.
