Feldick, Norma Dietz
Norma Dietz Feldick, 88, of Coralville, died April 6, 2011, at Windmill Pointe in Coralville. Memorial services will be held at The River Community Church, 3001 Muscatine Ave., Iowa City, on May 10 at 11 a.m. There will be no visitation.
Mrs. Feldick was born Feb. 12, 1923, to Albert Dietz and Emma (Payson) Dietz in Blackfoot, Idaho. She moved to Manning, Iowa in 1927 and graduated from Manning High School in May 1941. She enrolled in the University of Iowa and graduated from the Nursing School in September 1944. Norma was married to Harley G. Feldick of Buffalo Center, Iowa on Aug. 11, 1944.
Mrs. Feldick was ardently assured of eternal life through believing the Gospel (Romans 1:16; I Corinthians 15:1-4). She was a member of River Community Church and was a board member of the Christian Womens Club of Iowa City and Coralville.
Survivors include two daughters, Dr. Barbara Risius of Lyndhurst, Ohio and Virginia (Carl) Hampton of Angier; N.C.; one son, Mark (Patricia) of Coralville; three grandsons, Erik (Erica) Feldick of Cedar Falls, Andrew (Larissa) Feldick of Merced, Calif., and Jonathan Feldick of Phoenix; one great-granddaughter, Ava Feldick; two sisters, Neva Thompson of Stockton, Calif., and LaRue (Speros) Travlos of Sioux Falls, S.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harley G. Feldick; infant daughter, Catherine; brother-in-law, Tommy Thompson; and her parents.
Memorials may be made to Iowa City Hospice or River Community Church.
