French, Daniel P.
Daniel P. French, 50, of Oelwein, died suddenly on Sunday, May 2, 2010, at his home. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at 3345 Circle Dr. NE in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Amanda) of Cedar Rapids and Tony of Robins; his parents, Emil and Florence French of Robins; his brothers, Dale (Song) of Carthage, N.Y., Darrel (Lori) of Cedar Rapids, Dennis (Peggy) of Center Point and Matt (Stephanie) and Mark, both of Cedar Rapids; and a sister, Mary (Bob) Donahue of Middle Amana.
Daniel was born July 24, 1959, to Emil and Florence French. He worked at Amana Refrigeration for 16 years and owned his own drywall business for many years. Daniel was very talented in whatever he pursued. He published a book of poetry call “Reality Check.” Daniel loved to garden, work on cars, spend time with his brothers and go fishing with his son Tony.
