Daniel, Edith
Edith Daniel, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, Sept. 4, 2009, from an automobile accident. Services: 2 p.m. Thursday, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, where the family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time. Officiated by Reverends Jeff Orefice, David Rex, and David Gosnell.
Survivors include her husband, Reginald; son, Derek Daniel and his partner, Nicole Brucker; brother, Roland and wife, Angelika Waidhas, and their children, Phillipp and Christian.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Edith was born June 16, 1948, the daughter of Georg and Gertrud Waidhas, in Goppingen, Germany. On Sept. 7, 1967, she was united in marriage to Reginald Daniel in Berchtesgarten, Germany. Edith worked at Rockwell Collins as a coordinator for government systems.
