Where was oversight of newbo evolve?

I firmly believe that the board of directors for GO Cedar Rapids deserve some blame and responsibility for lack of oversight for the debacle of newbo evolve. There are 18 members of the board; did not anyone check actual numbers, possibly chat with hotel and motel managers to gauge interest and room bookings? Where was board treasurer Seth Wear in all of this? Did he not check on deposits of checks and processing of credit cards to provide oversight?

By firing the executive director I believe Chairman John Myers and the Board are trying to deflect a needed spotlight on the lack of oversight and monitoring.
