Foster, Janet Lynne
Janet Lynne Foster, 60, formerly of Cedar Rapids, and a resident of Fort Myers, Fla., died at her home Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009. Services: 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Matthew Catholic Church, by Father Gary Krapfl. Friends may visit after 8 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial: St. Joseph Cemetery, Parnell. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Janet is survived by her mother, Marguerite Foster of Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Sande (Mike) Ellis of Fort Myers, Fla., and Suzanne Foster of Milwaukee; three nephews, Brett, Kevin and Sean (Anna) Ellis, three great-nephews, Jason, Joshua and Cole Ellis, and a great-niece, Paige Ellis, all of Fort Myers.
Janet was preceded in death by her father, Jack; and an infant son, Michael.
Janet was born Feb. 7, 1949, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Jack and Marguerite Ward Foster. She graduated from Regis High School and Iowa State University. Janet worked as a social worker. Janet had a great love of art and animals.
Her family will miss her and her spirit will always be alive in their hearts.
