Rodney Coe kicked off ISU football team
Iowa State defensive tackle Rodney Coe was dismissed from the football team Thursday for violating team rules, ISU athletics spokesperson Mike Green said.
Coe, a 6-3, 301-pound senior, totaled 37 tackles, five tackles for loss and two pass breakups last season.
He started the final four games for the Cyclones, who went 3-9 last season.
Coe - who was expected to be a key contributor on defense in 2014 - posted the following on Twitter Thursday:
