Karen Rae Drake, 80, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids. There will be no services at this time.
Karen was born Nov. 2, 1937, the daughter of Arnold and Helen (Dilts) Westendorf. On April 4, 1959, she was married to Robert Maurice Drake. He passed away this past July. Karen's love was being a homemaker and making her daughter's clothes, a talent that has been passed down three generations.
Karen battled multiple sclerosis since 1970 and never gave up. With her husband by her side, her words being, how blessed she was.
Survivors include her only child, Cheryl Van Hagen, and two grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
