Absolutely not voting for Loebsack

So Dave Loebsack wants my vote this fall. I decided to take a look what my representative has done for us here in Iowa regarding three issues for which he voted yes: health care reform, cap and trade, and the economic stimulus.
Health care reform is nothing short of socialism. Health care will not be “free” but rather will slowly dissolve private health care companies, leaving the government option the only option. The first private sector casualty is the health care division of The Principal Financial Group based in Des Moines.
Second is cap and trade. This affects the coal industry hard. We have 19 coal-burning electric plants in Iowa. Loebsack said “he feels Iowa has an opportunity to cash in during the shift to alternative fuels and energy.” I do not think this is comforting news to those that are working in our local power plants. I don't think putting their jobs in jeopardy during a recession is a good idea.
As for the stimulus, there is plenty of documented evidence of wasteful spending. One of them: A research professor at Northwestern University is defending a more than $700,000 stimulus grant he has received to create computer software that tells jokes.
Vote for socialism, loss of jobs and reckless spending? Vote for Loebsack? Absolutely not!
