Mary C. Walker, 53, of Central City, died Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2016, at home. Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Prairieburg, from 9 to 10 a.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. The Rev. Donald Komboh will officiate. Burial will be at a later date.
Mary was born Nov. 27, 1963, to Tom and Barbara (Kindl) Walker. She graduated from Central City High School and had various positions in Montana, Tennessee, Monticello and Cedar Rapids. She was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Survivors include her daughter, Beth Walker of Central City; her father, Tom Walker of Prairieburg; her brothers, Steve Walker and Matt (Shelley) Walker of Prairieburg and Rich Walker of Central City; her sister, Julie Walker of Prairieburg; and her beloved dog, Hawkeye.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Walker; and her sister, Geriane Walker-Kula.
