Willey, Esther Nora (Brinkman)
Esther Nora Willey (Brinkman), 96, of Mechanicsville, died Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at The Hallmark Care Center in Mount Vernon. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Morgan Funeral & Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon, by celebrant Mary Morgan. The family will greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mechanicsville, following a light lunch.
Surviving Esther are her daughter, Janice Vine and friend Loren Bragg of Barnes City; two sons, Douglas and Edith Willey of Mechanicsville and Gerald and Dawn Willey of Marion; daughter-in-law, Sherry Willey of Tipton; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Preceding Esther in death were her husband, Ralph Willey; and son, Roger Willey.
Esther was born July 20, 1917, in Wheatland, Iowa. Her parents were Henry and Minnie Brinkman. She married Ralph Willey on Nov. 18, 1936.
