John R. Higgins, 91, died Monday, Nov. 14, 2016, at the V.A. Health Care System in Des Moines.
Survivors include three daughters, Jacalyn Ratcliff of Waterloo, and Jillyn (Martin) Cardenas and Johanna Land, both of Ankeny.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at First Baptist Church in Independence. Burial will be in Hazleton Cemetery. Vistitation is from 4:30 until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at White Funeral Home in Independence. Condolences: www.White-MtHope.com.
