Harrison Barnes of Ames had a bit of a slow start in his freshman season with the North Carolina Tar Heels, but he's got it going. Wednesday, he hit a 3-pointer from the top of the key with three seconds left to give North Carolina a 72-70 win at Florida State.
Barnes knew what he wanted to do in the last 10 seconds, and he did it.
The Tar Heels won their sixth straight game and tied with Duke for the best record (13-2) in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Barnes had 18 points against the Seminoles, and leads UNC in scoring in ACC games with 15.8 points per game, tops for any conference freshman.
