Marilyn A. Miell, 90, of Marion, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 16, 2016, at Bickford of Marion. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, June 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids, with a visitation an hour before.
Marilyn was born June 26, 1925, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Mary and Henry Niemeier. She loved her childhood on 30th Street Drive, spending time with her grandparents, Joseph and Marie Haas, who settled here from France. She enjoyed family, gardening, traveling with El Kahir Shrine friends, and always being outdoors.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Miell.
Survivors are her son, Robert Miell; and daughter, June (Bob) Locke.
Her siblings, Robert Niemeier, Marguerite (Bill) Andrews and Ralph (Ruth) Niemeier.
