Machula, John George
John George Machula, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Funeral Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, where family will greet friends one hour before the service. Private Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include two children, Daniel Machula-Smith of Pocatelo, Idaho, and Linda Reese of Indianapolis, Ind.
He is also survived by longtime friends, Elbert and Phyllis McMickle of Cedar Rapids; and a special cousin, Annamae Baker of Mount Vernon.
John was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Mary (Lapour) Machula. John worked as a heavy equipment operator.
