Terry D. Smith, 48, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Hrabak Funeral Service of Belle Plaine. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Terry was born in Inglewood, Calif., on April 12, 1967, the son of Dennis and Alice (Edmonds) Smith. At a young age, Terry moved with his family to Iowa. Following his education, he worked as a cook and as a truck driver for many different companies. Terry met Donna Binz in 1988. Together, the couple had three children.
Terry enjoyed cooking, working on vehicles, listening to music and most of all spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Smith of Iowa City; children, Sonny Smith of Iowa City, Jessica Smith of Iowa City and Terry Smith Jr. of Iowa City; grandbabies, Sabella, and Sapphira; and many loving friends and family.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents.
