Parvin, Denver Daniel
Denver Daniel Parvin, 16, of Cedar Rapids, died March 8, 2010. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 13, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. The Rev. William B. Harnish will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are his mother, Angie (Joe) Barton of Cedar Rapids; father, Dan (Karla Auderer) Parvin of Marion; sisters, Paige Parvin and Hannah Parvin; grandparents, Donna Zahorik, Ed (Rita) Parvin, Mike (Mary Kay) Barton, Laurene (Dave) Case and Judy (Gene) Wickman; great-grandparents, Bernadine and Gene Fisher and Darlene Barton; aunts, Koby O'Brien, Dawn Hobart, Nancy Cortez, Michele Waller, Angelia Barton, Marcy Humphrey and Cindy Ackerman; uncles, Dustin Crumes, James O'Brien, Steve De Forest, Tim Cortez, Jon Barton, Curt Barton, Dr. Michael Humphrey and Anthony Ackerman; cousins, Nadine, Leigh, Madison, Taylor, Cole, Jack, Aubrey, Colton, Gabrielle, Brady, Tyler, Michael, Gavon, Garette, Grace and Annalise; and close friends, Anita Parvin, and her children, Jamie, Katie and Elizabeth; as well as several extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charley Zahorik; great-grandmother, Helen Briggs; and great-grandfather, Frank Parvin.
Denver “Den” Parvin was born Oct. 10, 1993, in Cedar Rapids, to Angie Crumes and Dan Parvin. He was a former student at Prairie/Oaks Prairie, and had recently become a student at Linn-Mar High School as a sophomore. Den enjoyed sports, especially football, basketball, and baseball. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and the Denver Broncos. He had recently gained interest in weight lifting as preparation for sporting activities. He enjoyed drawing, playing video games, and his greatest enjoyment was music.
Above all, he truly enjoyed the time he was able to spend with his family.
