Charipar, Alois Lawrence
Alois Lawrence Charipar, 90, of Lake Dallas, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 20, 2010, in Denton, Texas. Rosary will be said Friday, June 25, at 7 p.m. at the Denton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Denton. Father Jim Pemberton will officiate. Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Denton, Texas.
He was born Aug. 14, 1919, in Makoti, N.D., to Matthew and Anna (Langer) Charipar. He married Ann Retta Walker on Feb. 20, 1941. Al had an illustrious career in aviation, beginning at Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. He served with the Army Air Corps during World War II. After his military discharge, he continued to pursue his passion in the field of aviation. His dedication to his career took him many places nationally and internationally. At the time of his retirement he was president of Northrop Worldwide Aircraft Services in Lawton, Okla. Al retired to Lake Dallas with his wife to be near their daughter and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Denton. He lived in Lake Dallas until he was called to join our Heavenly Father on Father's Day.
Survivors include his daughter, Geri Pollard and husband James of Lake Kiowa, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Bitsche and wife LeAnne of Lake Kiowa, Mark Bitsche and wife Carole of Lake Kiowa and Chris Lunsford of Garland, Texas; great-granddaughters, Meghan and Jessica Lunsford and Gabrielle Bitsche; and two great-great-grandsons, Evan and Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ann; and seven brothers and sisters.
