Harriman, Helene C.
Helene C. Harriman, 81, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at Mercy Halmar after a short illness. Cryptside services at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her husband, Dr. Vernon Harriman; a brother, Paul; and a sister, Inge, both of Germany; and many friends.
Helene was born Oct. 26, 1931, in Stollberg, Germany, the daughter of Paul and Frieda Leonhardt Dittrich. She married Dr. Vernon J. Harriman on April 4, 1959, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Helene was a self employed portrait and commercial photographer. She was a member of the International Professional Portrait Photographers, The Royal Photographic Society of Great Britain, American Artist Society and the Daguerian Society.
Her memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her.
