Bruce A. Kahle, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at West Ridge Care Center in Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 16, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with Certified Celebrant Paula Meyer officiating. Burial, with military honors presented by the Marine Corps League, will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery following the service.
Bruce was born Oct. 26, 1944, to Robert
and Martha Kahle in Englewood, N.J. Bruce served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1963 until 1968, when he was honorably discharged. He was employed at Rockwell Collins as a programming specialist for many years.
Bruce enjoyed softball, bowling, karaoke, shooting pool, dancing, traveling, listening to country music and oldies, and practicing target shooting.
Survivors include his son, Richard (fiancee, Cori Pitcher) of Cedar Rapids; grandson, William Kahle; brother, Bob (Tillie) Kahle of East Brunswick, N.J.; sister, Melodye (Jack) Deberadinis of Scarborough, Maine; former wife and close friend, Dee Kahle of Cedar Rapids; two nephews and three nieces.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents.
