Bruce Robert Lafferty, 53, went home to be with his mother when he chose to end his battle with depression on May 29, 2014. He will be missed by his family and close friends who loved and appreciated his humor, candor, knowledge and unwavering love for the USA.
From the time they were little, Bruce had one request from his children for his birthday and Father's Day: "All I want is a hug, a kiss and an 'I love you.' " If you know Rebecca, Maxwell, Jackson or Lewis, they will know what you mean if you quietly extend Bruce's request on to them.
Bruce wished to be an organ donor, but due to his military service and exposure to foreign elements, we were unable to fulfill his request. We ask those who knew him to consider being a donor if you haven't already done so.
Karen and his kids, along with his loving in-laws, Don and Deloris, and very close friends will have a private gathering to celebrate his life.
