Larkin, Bruce A.
Bruce A. Larkin, 57, of Iowa City, died unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 16, 2011. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Bruce Larkin Memorial Fund.

Bruce Anthony Larkin was born Sept. 27, 1954, in Ricketts, Iowa. After high school, Bruce served in the U.S. Marine Corps and spent time stationed in Japan during the Vietnam War. Bruce was known for his love of gardening and tress and fishing. He was an avid nature enthusiast and loved the outdoors. He was also a dedicated football fan, loyal to the Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys.
His family includes his daughter, Kristina Kennedy (Bruce) of Iowa City; son, Shawn Larkin (Rebecca) of North Liberty; grandchildren, Donovan and Brittany Kimzey, Shelby Larkin and Tanya, Nichole and Michale Kennedy; brothers, Ed Staley of California, and Larry Staley of Iowa City; sisters, Lorraine Woodford of Sioux City, and Cheryl Ames of Missouri; sister-in-law, Carolyn Larkin; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; Vince and Lucille Larkin; and biological father, Lawrence Staley; and his brother, Brian Larkin.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is caring for Bruce's family and his services.
