Hiawatha
Edwin B. Ferguson, 87, of Hiawatha, died Monday, June 1, 2015, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
A private family service will be held. Interment will take place at the Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Edwin was born Jan. 24, 1928, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Nichlos and Regina (Campbell) Ferguson. After attending high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. He served honorably in World War II. Edwin was united in marriage to Elvira J. Steib on June 24, 1955, in Youngstown, Ohio. To this union, three children were born.
Edwin was employed by Collins Radio, FMC and most recently worked for the City of Hiawatha. He also served part-time with the Hiawatha Police Department.
Edwin is survived by three children, Dorothy Anglum of Hiawatha, Gary (Lori) Ferguson of Center Point and Patrick (Stephanie) Ferguson of Smolan, Kan.; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elvira, in 2006; and his parents.
A memorial has been established in Edwin's honor.
