Stark, Charles John III
Charles John Stark III, 58, of Cedar Rapids, died of cardiac arrest Sunday, April 17, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial Service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 26, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Inurnment: St. Boniface Cemetery, Clinton, Iowa. Arrangements are entrusted to Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Charles is survived by his parents, Charles and Dorothy Stark Jr. of Cedar Rapids; siblings, Terri (Dennis) Hoelker of Cedar Rapids, Jim (Tece) Stark of Richmond, Texas, Dick (Lori) Stark of Gurnee, Ill., Cathy Hunt of Cedar Rapids, and John (Lesa) Stark of New London, Mo.; 16 nieces and nephews; and nine great-nieces and nephews.
Charles was born May 9, 1952, in Davenport, Iowa, to Charles and Dorothy Stark Jr. He graduated from Alleman High School in Rock Island, Ill., and then from the University of Notre Dame. He was employed by the Department of Home Security in the Division of US Customs in San Francisco, Calif. He retired Jan. 1, 2011.
Charles was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
