Cindy Ann Truax-Garwood, 59, of Vinton, died Saturday, July 2, 2016, in St. Luke's Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 9, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Vinton. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the church. Iowa Cremation is in charge of the arrangements.
Surviving is her husband of 30 years, Sam; daughters and granddaughters, Jaclyn Anderson, Shae Rich, Lisa Hunt and Ashtynn Lohrer; and brothers Bob and Raleigh Truax and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Cindy was born Feb. 25, 1957, in Vinton, the daughter of Larry and Janice (Bauer) Truax. She married Macy "Sam" Garwood on June 15, 1986, in Vinton. Cindy served as a dispatcher for Benton County Transportation.
